Art Reception and demonstration with Rosesharon Oates

Please join us for the closing reception for the show, Portal, by Oakland artist Rosesharon Oates. Rosesharon creates her artwork using a technique called pyrography, where she burns the lines onto wood panels, then goes back and adds color, creating beautiful works with an edge and depth that is truly unique. In addition to being on hand to discuss her work, Rosesharon will be leading a demonstration of her technique, and allowing visitors to try it for themselves. This will be the last opportunity to see her show, in addition to meet and partake with the artist, so don’t miss this special opportunity to connect and create!
